ISKANDAR Malaysia is growing stronger after more than a decade of vigorous expansion, fulfilling its vision to drive the economy and property market in Johor and eventually achieving its goal of becoming an international metropolis by 2025.
As the country’s first economic growth corridor launched in 2006, the Iskandar Malaysia region is three times the size of neighbouring Singapore and has received RM244bil of cumulative committed investment as at Sept 30, 2017.
A total of RM149bil or 61% of the investment is from domestic investors, with the remaining RM94bil (39%) from foreigners.
According to the Iskandar Regional Development Authority, 55% or RM134bil of the investments had already been realised.

The investments involved various sectors such as electrical and electronics, petrochemical and oleochemical, food and agro-processing, logistics and related services, tourism, health, educational, financial services and ICT and the creative industry.
The steady influx of local and foreign investors into Johor generates positive spillover effects to other parts of the state and also creates international interest in the region.
These good growth prospects and business opportunities also further increase the demand for residential properties in Johor, and the prices are now on an upward trend.
